Actors Theatre of Louisville announced Tuesday that Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein is departing the company later this year.
Bielstein will be the new managing director at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, beginning in April. She came to Louisville 10 years ago from Chicago, where she worked with the Writers’ Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
Under Bielstein, Actors Theatre has grown in national prominence with the hiring of Artistic Director Les Waters, and the successful transfer of several productions from Louisville to other cities.
