Two people were injured Thursday afternoon when at least one law enforcement officer fired a gun outside a Clifton grocery store, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman said.
The injured people were transported by emergency medical services to University of Louisville Hospital.
The officer, or officers, involved worked for Louisville Metro Correction's Home Incarceration Program, the police spokeswoman said.
The shooting was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, according to MetroSafe.
The incident took place behind the Kroger store at 2200 Brownsboro Road.
No further details surrounding the circumstances of the incident were immediately available, police said.
