Tour Bus Overturns in Southern Indiana, Injuries Reported

HENRYVILLE — Police say numerous people have been injured in a tour bus crash in southern Indiana.

Scottie Maples of the Clark County Sheriff's Department tells WDRB-TV the accident occurred Friday morning on southbound on Interstate 65 just north of Henryville, Indiana.

Maples says there are reports of "multiple injuries" in the accident. The extent of the injuries wasn't immediately known Thursday.

A Clark County sheriff's office dispatcher says six medical choppers have been called to the scene, about 20 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. Indiana State Police Trooper Mary Sanchez tells the News and Tribune that ground ambulances also were on the scene.

Video shows the white bus on its side in a grassy area off the highway with debris strewn about.
