At least a week of super-rough weather seems like an annual tradition for the Louisville area.
Another annual tradition? Lenten fish fries.
The Archdiocese of Louisville has released the schedule of parish fish fries for the region. Now that Ash Wednesday has passed, Louisvillians—fasting Roman Catholics and also people who just like fish fries—can start making their Friday evening plans.
As always, there will be fried fish, sides, bread, desserts and maybe even beer and games. Here's the schedule.
One caveat. Extreme winter weather has led some parishes to call off this week's fish fry, said Cecilia Price, a spokeswoman for the archdiocese.
She suggests calling ahead before venturing out. You can find contact information for parishes here.
Not sure which parish is closest to where you'll be come from? Here's a map. (Information comes from the archdiocese schedule, and not all parishes holding fish fries may be on the list.)
