Congressman Thomas Massie has endorsed Republican Agriculture Commissioner James Comer for governor.
In a Wednesday news release, Massie said Comer "exhibits the leadership qualities" that Kentucky needs.
"I've seen him in the halls of Congress advocating effectively on behalf of Kentucky farmers and entrepreneurs," said Massie, a Republican representing District 4, which includes northern Kentucky.
Massie also said he admires Comer's work ethic and principals.
In the same media release, Comer said he’s honored to have Massie’s support and he credits the congressman for helping Kentucky launch its industrial hemp program.
Comer has also received an endorsement from Rep. Ed Whitfield, also a Republican.
