Earlier: A fire at a tire recycling plant in southwestern Jefferson County on Monday has led to a shelter in place order for the surrounding area.
Louisville Emergency Management Agency/MetroSafe said the shelter in place is for a 1 mile radius from the location of the fire, Liberty Tire Recycling at 14201 Bohannon Avenue. Here's a map:
The Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department are at the scene, according to MetroSafe.
