Photos: Longtime Volunteers Help Keep the St. Joseph Children's Home Picnic Running

Each year at the St. Joseph Children's Home picnic, volunteers run game and food booths—and some have helped out with the fundraiser for years.  This year's picnic over the weekend was no different.  One longtime volunteer,  Hugh Colbert, has run the Veterans Affairs booth for the past 34 years. Saturday evening, I spent time with Colbert and his horse race booth. Here's what I saw:

Hugh Colbert, 67, sits at the money table inside his booth at St. Joseph Children's Home Picnic.

Michele Yates, 35, left, shows off her winnings to Tom Nalley, 56.

Rocks are placed on money used for betting at the horse race booth.

John Bell, 39, kisses Courtney Bell, 27, while waiting for the winning number to be called.

Billy Pfesiter, 67, holds money used to give out prizes.
