The University of Kentucky Wildcats are preparing for their matchup against Wisconsin Saturday night in the men’s NCAA Final Four. UK advanced to the national semifinals Saturday with a three-point victory over Michigan. Some had begun to give up hope of any UK tournament success as far back as early March, when the slumping Wildcats lost at 10-18 South Carolina.
But guard Aaron Harrison predicted after that game that his team was going to be “a great story.” He talked about it after Sunday’s NCAA victory."I guess I saw it coming. I wouldn’t say ‘I told you so’ or anything, but we knew what we could do, we just knew that we had a few things to fix. Yes, that was a bad loss but we knew what kind of team we could be," Harrison said. Harrison scored the go-ahead basket in UK's victory over Michigan with less than three seconds left in the game. UK Coach John Calipari says it’s unlikely that Willie Cauley-Stein will play in the Final Four. The sophomore forward suffered an ankle injury during last Friday’s game against Louisville.UK and Wisconsin will tip off around 8:50pm Saturday. Florida and Connecticut meet in the other semifinal shortly after 6:00pm.
