'Nuns on the Bus' Leader on Income Inequality

You likely won't find Sister Simone Campbell behind the walls of a church, but rather, storming the halls of congress. She wants change. Big change. In 2012, she was at the center of the “Nuns on the Bus” tour, which covered nine states to oppose the “Ryan Budget” approved by the House of Representatives. Her work garnered so much attention that she was featured on 60 Minutes and The Dailey Show with Jon Stewart.Sister Simone Campbell is the executive director of NETWORK, a national Catholic social justice lobby. She recently passed through Louisville en route to giving a talk at Hanover College. We had a moment to discuss the state of the catholic church, her fight against income inequality, and much more.

Jonathan Bastian is the midday host for WFPL News.
