Glenn Beck Headlining FreedomWorks Rally in Louisville

Conservative radio show host Glenn Beck will be in Louisville next month to host a rally and training session sponsored by FreedomWorks, a national Tea Party group that has endorsed Republican Matt Bevin in the Senate primary election.Organizers says FreePAC Kentucky will feature grassroots activists from the state and across the country, including FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe. Those in attendance will gather to hear from conservative pundits, entrepreneurs and community leaders."What began as the tea party movement has grown into a principle-driven community of conservatives, libertarians, and independents who all share the values of liberty and small government," FreedomWork spokeswoman Jacqueline Bodnar said in a news release."FreePAC Kentucky is an opportunity for individuals to educate themselves, to connect with like-minded members of their communities, and to turn local grassroots activity into national change."Since endorsing Bevin over incumbent Mitch McConnell, FreedomWorks has opened offices in Louisville and Lexington. The Tea Party group also put out thousands of "Retire Mitch" yard signs that were yanked by Louisville Metro Government for violating a local ordinance against unlawful signage.Bevin has been a frequent guest on Beck's radio program where he has outlined his views and contrasts with McConnell on the campaign trail. The former Fox News host has been a frequent critic of McConnell's over the years. The event is scheduled for April 5 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville and set to begin at 1 p.m.
