Planned Parenthood released a television attack ad against Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell on Friday over his support of a lawsuit against a birth-control policy in President Obama's health care law.Watch:Earlier this week, McConnell joined a group of nearly a dozen other GOP lawmakers who filed a brief backing a suit by Hobby Lobby, a Christian-based arts and crafts chain. The group argues that the president's health care law requiring it to cover birth-control in its employee health plan violates their religious freedom. Opponents say the Obama administration is forcing businesses with a moral objection to abortion to provide contraceptives such as the "morning after" pill."Senator McConnell is deeply dedicated to protecting the First Amendments rights and religious freedom of every single Kentuckian," says Team Mitch campaign manager Jesse Benton. "He has also fought to end government funding for left-wing groups like Planned Parenthood, so it is no wonder they are attacking him."
