A section of theLouisville Loop will be closed for two weeks, starting on Monday. The Louisville Loop is the partially-finished bicycle path around the city. When it's finished, it will be about 100 miles, but right now it's only continuous along the Ohio River near downtown and into Southwest Louisville. But a section of the Loop travels along the flood wall next to the Lee's Lane landfill (a former Superfund site) and the Cane Run power plant. And now that Louisville Gas and Electric is beginning the work to convert Cane Run to natural gas, the associated transmission line work will close the Loop as a safety precaution. From Metro Parks:
