Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear will be spending more time around the Capitol in the next few days. The governor is recovering from what he office calls "minor eye surgery" to repair a detached retina. The governor’s office gave little other detail about the surgery or how the injury happened. The governor wasn't injured, his office said. Instead, the detached retina developed this past weekend. The surgery will require a limited travel schedule for Beshear, which shouldn’t be much of a problem post-Election Day.
