The Boy Scouts of America has released piles of documents that make up what the organization calls "perversion files." The files outline about 5,000 alleged cases of abuse within the scouts between 1947 and 2005.The LA Times is putting the information online, and this interactive map shows eight cases of possible abuse in Louisville-based troops between 1961 and 1999. Even more cases are reported in troops across Kentucky and Indiana. The Times is also putting the documents related to the cases online, though no Louisville records are available at this time.
