The Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals return to the football field this Sunday, facing off in the annual battle for the Governor’s Cup.The Cards are ranked 25th nationally in the AP pre-season poll and heavily favored in this year’s matchup, but offensive lineman Alex Kupper says his team knows better than to take the Wildcats lightly."One of the things we’ve always talked about is we have to stay humble. We haven’t really done much record-wise. They’re a really good program, we’ve seen that in years past and we’re treating it like any other game," Kupper said."We have a Kentucky team that’s coming in here that’s a very good football team. Similar to us in a lot of ways. It’s a young football team, we’re still a young football team," said Cards' coach Charlie Strong.UK coach Joker Phillips says he’s pleased with the way his team has rebounded from a disappointing 5-7 record last season.Louisville won last year’s game in Lexington, but hasn't defeated the Wildcats at home since 2006.Sunday’s kickoff at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium is 3:30pm.Indiana opens its season Saturday night at home against Indiana State.
