The Louisville chapter of the League of Women Voters is hosting a community forum on the impact of the Affordable Care Act Monday. The forum’s panelists will include legal scholars, heath care providers and business leaders discussing specific provisions of the legislation, which was recently upheld as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court. But health care reform is a politically divisive with polls showing that 31 percent of Americans want the law fully repealed.League of Women Voters President Pat Murrell says the event is not a debate, and she hopes to avoid the politics and explain the details."What we want people to leave with is some sense of what it does do for them in their own individual life and what it doesn’t do. They can draw their own conclusions in terms of what they want to say to their congressman, but that’s not what we’re addressing," she says. The meeting is scheduled for 6 pm in the Lang House on 115 S. Ewing Avenue.
