Ford Motor Company is recalling over 10,000 new Escape SUVs that were made in the Louisville Assembly Plant. Ford officials say there have been no reported incidences that inspired the recall, but the company will be replacing carpet padding that officials say could get in the way of the brake pedal.Ford officials told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that dealers will fix the issue at no charge beginning July 23.The vehicles were built in March and June at Ford's Louisville Assembly Plant.Ford officials say there have not yet been any customer complaints, and the problem was discovered through internal evaluations.Ford sold 28,500 Escapes last month, up 28 percent from June 2011.
