The Purdue University Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to appoint Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels to be the school's 12th president. He will succeed France Cordova, whose retirement is effective next month.The governor will assume the post when his term ends in January.Purdue, based in West LaFayette, is Indiana's second-largest public university.
