The Purdue University Board of Trustees will vote tomorrow morning on the nominee to become the school’s 12thpresident.The job is expected to go to Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.Neither Daniels nor the university will comment publicly about the appointment, but sources have told the Indianapolis Star and WISH-TV that Daniels will take over the post being vacated by France Cordova, who’s retiring. Daniels declined to answer questions from reporters Wednesday morning about his future following an economic development announcement event in Indianapolis.He did say he believes changes are needed to how higher education is approached.He says more people who've attended college have loan debt than degrees and that situation can't be sustainedDaniels' second and final term as governor ends in January.
