The Louisville Cards have been eliminated from the women's NCAA basketball tournament.The seventh-seeded Cards fell to number two seed Maryland 72-68 tonight in a second round game in College Park, Maryland.U of L finishes the season with a 23-10 record. Maryland advances to the tournament's Sweet Sixteen round in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
