Filmmakers from all over the U.S. and abroad are gathering at Louisville’s Clifton Center this weekend for the 4th annual Derby City Film Festival. Mother's Red Dress, It’s a story about a young man who leaves home after seeing his mother kill her abusive boyfriend, is one of the 56 films selected for screening. Filmmaker John Paul Rice spoke with WFPL's Graham Shelby about the film and his company’s unusual mission, Friday on State of the News.
