The Louisville Cardinals are in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they'll face NC State tomorrow night in the Belk Bowl.U of L’s chances of becoming bowl eligible looked slim early in the season. The Cards got off to a 2-4 start, but won five of their last six games and captured a share of the Big East Conference title. Coach Charlie Strong says his freshman-heavy team showed a lot of poise. "We have some youth on this team, but a team that grew up really fast. I’m just excited at the way this football team was able to overcome a lot of adversity there in the beginning then make a run at the end and get ourselves in a position to become co-champions." This will be the fourth matchup between U of L and NC State. The Cards won the three previous games. Both teams finished the regular season with a 7-5 record. The bowl game’s title sponsor is the Belk department store chain. The game, first played in 2002, has been previously called the Meineke Car Care Bowl and the Continental Tire Bowl.Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte is at 8:00pm tomorrow.
