Brandeis Professor Discusses Capital Punishment in Kentucky

The American Bar Association and a team of Kentucky law professionals have released a two-year study on death penalty procedures in the commonwealth. The ABA has supported a similar study in eight other states.  The Kentucky Assessment Team has now recommended that the state halt all executions until its recommendations are addressed.Linda Ewald is a retired faculty member from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. She was on the team of eight, which included former state Supreme Court justices, academics, and practicing attorneys.  WFPL’s Devin Katayama spoke with Ewald, who says there are several deficiencies in the state’s capital punishment system.
