The National Republican Congressional Committee is resuming its attack ads against U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler, D-Ky., blaming the central Kentucky congressman for the woeful economy by supporting President Obama's jobs plan. The 30-second spot begins airing Monday in Chandler's district and uses an audio clip of a broadcaster saying the congressman supported the president's $447 billion jobs bill. It goes on to say that Obama's first stimulus package failed and mentions that Chandler endorsed the president in 2008.Check it out:Earlier this year, the NRCC criticized Chandler for supporting government spending and backing the White House. But political observers point out that Chandler has voted against key parts of the president's agenda, including the health care overhaul, and been a critic of the administration. Last October, Chandler blamed Obama for Democratic losses in the House during last year's mid-term election.
