Louisville’s homeless shelters and other charitable organizations will serve hundreds of free Thanksgiving Day meals.At the St. Vincent de Paul Society Open Hand Kitchen, spokeswoman Linda Romine says a traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served from noon-1:00pm.It’s open to the public."We try to keep in mind that for the most part, the families and individual that will be enjoying Thanksgiving dinner here are people who probably don’t have any other place to go. So we want them to feel welcome and we try to make it special for them," Romine said.Romine expects about 300 people to be served, as was the case last year.The Open Hand Kitchen is at 1029 South Preston Street.
