In college football today, the University of Louisville fell to Cincinnati 25-16. It was the Cards’ third straight loss, and their fourth consecutive defeat in their annual series with the Bearcats. U of L led for most of the game and took a 16-14 lead into the fourth quarter, but Cincinnati scored 11 unanswered points to secure the win.The Cards are now 2-4 on the season; Cincinnati improves to 5-1.U of L will host Rutgers next Friday night. The Indiana Hoosiers fell to 1-6 on the season with a 59-7 loss at number four Wisconsin. IU visits Iowa next Saturday. Kentucky returns to action Saturday against Jacksonville State in Lexington.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
