As drivers figure out how to plan their commutes with one of Louisville's major bridges out of commission, city and state officials are monitoring traffic patterns to try to alleviate the worst of the gridlock.Kentucky Department of Transportation spokeswoman Andrea Clifford says this evening's commute went smoother than Monday's, and the congestion going from Kentucky to Indiana cleared out earlier. Both northbound and southbound on I-65 were slow, though. But one aspect of the traffic hadn't improved: there were more delays today due to disabled vehicles--whether from accidents, breakdowns or cars abandoned on the sides of the road.
