Louisvillians Spend Heavily on Gas

According to an analysis of financial data from around the country, Louisville residents spend a lot of money on gas.The online budgeting website Mint.com used information from its users to determine which cities spend the most on gas. Louisville was ranked 11th in the country. Residents spend about $179 on gasoline every month. The list was separated into four categories—Louisville was in the “guzzlers” category. Bringing up the rear in the “teetotalers” category were major metropolises with extensive public transportation systems like Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C. and New York.Nearby Cincinnati and Indianapolis also made the list, but they were ranked lower than Louisville—15th and 19th places, respectively.
