Shakespeare Behind Bars [Feature]

Shakespeare Behind Bars is opening its 16th season today at the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in Lagrange with a production of The Merchant of Venice. The non-profit theatre company uses the works of Shakespeare as a way to teach life skills to prison inmates to help them with the eventual transition back to society. The cast is made entirely of inmates from the prison and they stage performances for both fellow prisoners and the public.Graham Shelby's feature about this production aired during Here and Now today.
