No Kill Louisville Sole Bidder for Animal Services Contract

No Kill Louisville is the only group that met Monday's deadline to submit bids to run the soon-to-be-privatized parts of Louisville Metro Animal Services.The group's president Jessica Reid previously told WFPL No Kill Louisville could reduce euthanasia almost instantly and eventually only allow the sickliest of animals to be put down. She also said the group's biggest challenges would be to put together a plan for the beleaguered Manslick Road LMAS facility and to transition from a volunteer organization to an agency that employs workers.Metro Government officials say bids for contracts are not public records until they are officially released.
