The remaining candidates will meet with various stakeholder groups involved with JCPS in the following week.Current superintendent Sheldon Berman's contract expires at the end of June. The board has interviewed candidates for an interim superintendent in case the new leader isn't chosen or can't take office by July 1.Stakeholders and board chair Steve Imhoff have previously said the new superintendent must support diversity through student assignment and be able to work with the board. He adds, however, that the latter qualification will require some action on the board's part, too
