Indiana voters went to the polls today to select nominees for municipal offices.Incumbent Tom Galligan defeated three opponents to win the Democratic nomination for Jeffersonville mayor. Galligan will face Republican and Clark County Commissioner Mike Moore, who ran unopposed, in the November general election.In New Albany, City Councilman Jeff Gahan won the Democratic primary for mayor, defeating two opponents. There was no Republican on the mayoral ballot. Current Mayor Doug England is running for city council and was the top Democratic vote-getter for an at-large council seat. Incumbent Bob Hall easily defeated Mark Goodlett in the Republican primary for Charlestown mayor. Hall will face Democrat Donna Ennis in the fall. She was unopposed in the primary.There were other contested races for city and town councils in Clark and Floyd counties. Other election results can be found at the Secretary of State's website.
