A few days after poll numbers put him ahead of all Republican challengers, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear's campaign submitted its financial report Monday that shows it has raised $1.2 million during the quarter.The latest figures put the total raised by Beshear, a Democrat, at $4.8 million, which is far ahead of any other gubernatorial candidate.“I am grateful for the support of Kentuckians of our hard work to bring economic recovery and prosperity to every community,” Beshear said in a news release. “Though I remain focused on creating jobs and running an efficient and lean state government, I am nevertheless pleased with the campaign’s fundraising success.”Beshear is running unopposed in the Democratic primary with former Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson as his running mate. The campaign reports to have $3.3 million cash on hand with contributions from all 120 counties in the state.
