The United States Supreme Court will hear arguments today in a case with ties to Kentucky. The case was brought by a Louisville man who was arrested seven years ago for possession of a loaded firearm and crack cocaine. The man accepted a plea bargain. Later, the sentencing guidelines for crack possession were changed. The man sought to have his sentence reduced in line with the new rules. His request was blocked, however because he had entered a fixed plea bargain. The high court is being asked to consider whether the sentence is fair.
