The Jefferson County Board of Education will soon set a timetable and work out other details for selecting a new superintendent for the district.Last week the board chose the Omaha, Nebraska-based firm McPherson and Jacobson to conduct the search."We have conducted over 400 searches across the nation for school superintendents....this is our 21st year," said CEO Tom Jacobson.Jacobson says his firm has also conducted searches for districts in the South and West that, like Jefferson County, have desegregation plans.The school board voted in November to replace current Superintendent Sheldon Berman. He’s now a finalist for a superintendent’s job in Eugene, Oregon.
