The Louisville Metro Ethics Commission will hold a hearing this week on an ethics complaint filed against Metro Councilwoman Judy Green. The complaint was filed by retired police officer and activist Ray Barker, Senior, who ran unsuccessfully for Green’s First District seat in last year’s Democratic primary.Barker says Green should resign, citing an audit of a $55,000 grant Green appropriated to a summer program for at-risk youth in her district. The audit criticized Green for hiring her husband and other relatives for the program. The results were also sent to the police Public Integrity Unit for investigation, but no charges were filed. The ethics commission will meet Thursday; it could dismiss Barker’s complaint or launch its own investigation.
