Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway has ended weeks of speculation by announcing he’s seeking re-election. After losing a grueling U.S. Senate race and with his wife expecting their second child this spring, speculation was rife that Jack Conway would forgo a second term. But the attorney general has laid those rumors to rest. “These races are hard. They take a lot of time. And I had to have a conversation with my wife about whether we had a enough fuel in the tank to do it this year and it was a joint decision that we do. And I’m grateful to her. And I’m looking forward to getting out and telling the people of Kentucky what we’ve done as attorney general and why we deserve to be re-elected,” he said.Right now, Conway has no opposition in the Democratic primary, but the filing deadline is Tuesday. Republican Todd P’Pool of Madisonville is also in the race.
