STATE OF AFFAIRS 01/20/11: Gender equity pioneer and fair pay activist Lilly Ledbetter speaks in Louisville next week with
the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission on the issue of pay equity. A career employee of Goodyear, she sued the company for gender discrimination and her name is on the first legislation that President Obama signed into law after taking office in 2009. In light of the recent Senate defeat of the Paycheck Fairness Act, we talk with Ms. Ledbetter and other guests about the wage gap in America, and Kentuckiana, as well as future efforts to close it.
