University of Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich says he's confident the football Cards will receive a bowl bid, but it's too early to tell where they will play."Our fan base loves to travel, Jurich said Monday. "The thing we want to make sure of is that we exhaust all of our options. We want to make sure we look at what's best for us, too. We've got a couple of obstacles, most notably being that December 31 date. I'd hate to put it on our fans, but if that's our only option, we're going to have to go with it." December 31 is the date for the U of L/UK basketball game at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards finished the regular season with a six and six record under first year coach Charlie Strong. Jurich says the bowl picture will be clearer after Saturday's final round of regular season play elsewhere.
