Abramson Discusses Accomplishments In Forum Speech

By Sheila AshOutgoing Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson was the featured speaker Wednesday at the monthly Louisville Forum. Abramson discussed the changes the community has seen during his time in office.Abramson touted everything from merged government and airport expansion to the development of Waterfront Park and affordable housing.He says, during his more than 20 years in office, he has worked to build a good foundation for the next mayor to build upon and will support Mayor-elect Greg Fischer."I certainly as a Louisville resident and will continue a Louisville resident for many, many years to come am very, very supportive and excited about Greg’s leadership and look forward to working with him and with you all in the years to come. It has been a pleasure to be a part of the leadership team of my hometown for these many years," he said.Abramson will run for Lt. Governor with running mate Steve Beshear in 2011.
