By Sheila AshThe 3rd Annual 2Not1 Fatherhood Conference is underway today in downtown Louisville. The conference focuses on ensuring children are successful and they have two parents in their lives, whether or not the parents are together. Anthony Smith, Board of the 2Not1 organization, says this year’s theme is “Fatherhood is Normal.” "Encouraging folks to understand how important fatherhood is in the community and in the lives of children. So we’re really just trying to get folks to understand that fathers are engaged, fathers are around," he said.The conference is at Hotel Louisville today and Saturday.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
