The University of Louisville will host a community forum tomorrow at 4:30 pm Wednesday on the effects of the environment on personal health. The event will help U of L develop new education programs. The forum will focus on how pollution in neighborhoods like Rubbertown can lead to poor health.Organizer Dr. Kenneth Ramos says anyone can ask a panel of experts questions. That, he says, will help U of L develop new programs to spread the word about the dangers of pollution."We're trying to get to know the community in meaningful ways so that when we develop our outreach and educational programs, we do so in a way that is effective and certainly, hopefully, sustainable for the community," he says. "These are messages that have to be given in a culturally-sensitive, age-appropriate, context-appropriate manner. Because, if you don't, the message is going to be lost."The forum is in at 2900 West Broadway.
