By Sheila AshGSI Commerce announced Monday that it will hire more than 800 seasonal employees at its new customization center in south Louisville. The company, also called Global Sports Incorporated, will customize apparel for the NFL, NASCAR, NHL and NBA at the site.Executive Vice President of Operations Bob Wuesthoff says some of the positions could become permanent."You always have turnover of some of your full-time people so we need replacements for those and seasonals would be some of the first people you’d go to because they’re experienced. And then as the base business grows you always need more full-timers as your base business grows not just your peak holiday volumes," he said. Wuesthoff says the company is currently hiring and will continue to do so throughout the end of the year.The company now five facilities in Kentucky.
