Thanks to Dan Modlin, Kentucky Public Radio A New Hampshire man has been hired to become the new executive director of the Kentucky League of Cities.Jonathon Steiner comes to Kentucky from the New Hampshire Local Government Center, which operates insurance risk pools for various governments across the state. The KLC board said it was impressed with Steiner's problem solving ability. He says that's a challenge he embraces."I think that being a problem solver means being able to sit down with people with different opinions, being pragmatic and building consensus. That's what I've done in my 20 year career in new hampshire in a similar League and that's what I intend to do for Kentucky League of Cities," he said. Steiner succeeds Sylvia Lovely, who stepped down after a series of reports about extravagant spending by some League executives. The League provides insurance and other services to some 400 cities and municipalities across Kentucky.
