Public forums on education will be held across Kentucky Tuesday.Ten cities will host two-hour forums beginning at 7 pm. The discussions are part of Governor Steve Beshear's Transforming Education in Kentucky initiative and will focus on topics such as education attainment and technology.Education Cabinet spokesperson Cathy Lindsey says the forums will be divided between group discussions and a statewide telecast of a panel discussion with the Governor and First Lady."The local discussions are going to be talking about people's concerns in that particular area, but for the second hour when the Governor and First Lady hold a panel discussion, they're just going to be there to listen to see what communities have to say about what they want to see in education in the future," she says. The panel will also be broadcast live on KET. In Louisville, the forum will be held at the Jefferson Community and Technical College downtown.Other forum locations:PaducahWest Kentucky Community and Technical CollegeCrounse Hall, Room 101OwensboroOwensboro Community and Technical CollegeAdvanced Technology Center, ATC 107Bowling GreenBowling Green Community and Technical CollegeBuilding FElizabethtownElizabethtown Community and Technical CollegeRegional Postsecondary Education Center, RPC 212Northern KentuckyNorthern Kentucky UniversityMain Campus, NKU Student Union Grand BallroomLexingtonBluegrass Community and Technical CollegeCooper AuditoriumSomersetSomerset Community CollegeHarold Rogers Student Commons, Citizens National Bank Community RoomPrestonsburgBig Sandy Community CollegeStudent Center, Rooms 203 A&BAshlandAshland Community and Technical CollegeJ.B.
