By Rick HowlettThe Jefferson County Board of Education has approved a one-percent pay raise for teachers and other school district employees.An agreement extending the contract with the Jefferson County Teachers Association was unanimously approved at the board's regular meeting Monday night.The pay hike applies to 6,000 teachers plus 7,000 other personnel.JCPS Superintendent Sheldon Berman is also eligible for the raise if it's approved during his annual board evaluation Thursday.
