Under what conditions could someone tell you you're not allowed to close your bedroom door at night, be intimate with your spouse, or decide which medications to take? These things happen to seniors in nursing facilities and in their own homes. But they're adults, and many of them are still mentally capable of making their own decisions. Where is the balance between safety and dignity? We'll talk about these concerns on Thursday, in a conversation about preserving the rights of the elderly.
