Expositions Director Corinne Fetter says there are a number of changes to several categories ranging from livestock to photography.“New for this year, in our vegetable and melon department, we have the largest pumpkin contest," says Fetter, "we’ve actually had the largest pumpkin contest before, but this year there’s more at stake.”She says if the champion pumpkin weighs over a thousand pounds, the grower will be awarded a dollar per pound this year.Other changes include the addition of a Malt-O-Meal Recipe Contest and new categories in photography.Fetter says also new this year is the availability for all categories except Commercial Wine to register for the competitions online. The deadline for most entries is July first.
