Friends of the Waterfront Holds First River Walk

The event is a fundraiser for Friends of the Waterfront.Vice President Todd Toles says events like this will help fund their organization’s programs like Waterfront Wednesday and the clean team.“Every penny that we get goes to helping anything that is needed in the park to help out the community," says Toles, "last year there was some trouble with the clean team that comes in a cleans up on the weekends and basically there wasn’t funding available or all that was needed to keep that clean team going for the summer and we kicked in the additional funding that were needed for that.”Money was raised for the organization by entry fees paid by participants.
