by Stephanie CrosbyThe World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana is celebrating its 25th anniversary today.For 25 years, the agency has been hosting international visitors’ programs, lectures from world leaders and local events to promote awareness of world affairs.Board chairman Robert Brown says to celebrate their silver anniversary, the council will assemble a group of local ‘global visionaries’ to meet to find new ways to grow global connections.“So it’s a combination of not just politicians and economic leaders, but it’s also individuals we’re trying to reach," says Brown, "individuals of our generation and individuals of the next generation.”Brown says they’ll take nominations for the panel, which he hopes will meet in December.Thursday’s ceremony included a dialogue with community visitors from Iraq.
